A cardiologist has confirmed that a SureScan system is implanted and the reprogramming of the pacemaker into SureScan mode has been executed.

The SureScan pacemaker system may be scanned under the following conditions

  • Under appliance of a clinical MRI system having a cylindrical magnet tube and a static magnetic field of 1.5 Tesla (T).
  • The scanner operates in “Normal Operating Mode”.
  • Under appliance of gradient systems having a maximum Slew Rate of <e; 200 T/m/s per axe.
  • A maximum full body SAR of < 2 W/kg and head spool SAR < 3.2 W/kg.
  • Monitor the hemodynamically function of the patient during the MRI scan by using at least one of following systems:
    • ECG
    • Pulse oximetry
    • Noninvasive blood pressure measurement

During the MRI scan an external defibrillator has to be at disposal. (The appliance of local send only spools or local send and receive spools placed directly over the stimulation system are contraindicated)

The patient is ready for the MRI scan.

Further details are found in the manual.
Information about MRI examinations in combination with the Advisa DR MRI™ SureScan® A3DR01 and the limited MRI-secure SureScan® electrodes.

After the MRI examination

  • Make sure that the MRI SureScan mode gets programmed to off by a cardiologist.

Further details are found in the manual.

All MRI SureScan pacemaker systems are MRI conditional for full body MRI scan (according to CE approval)
